Efficiently absorbs differential pressures in heating and cooling installations and effectively removes gas
The Flamcomat G4 is a pump-controlled, low-maintenance expansion unit that efficiently absorbs differential pressures in heating and cooling installations and effectively removes gas.
After all, the formation of gas in the installation can cause dirt accumulation, corrosion and wear, leading to faults and a loss of efficiency. Investing in the Flamcomat G4 means opting for certainty and flexibility.
The Flamcomat G4 has a number of automatic functions, for the filling procedure and balancing, temperature monitoring and leak detection. The system is also suitable for connecting into a smart Master-Slave configuration and for communicating with it remotely (with the Flextronic and Remote Service).
Automatic filling procedure
The initial filling of both the vessel and the system takes place automatically. During commissioning, the vessel fills itself automatically with the minimum required quantity of water to prevent the pump running dry. This new function gives you extra ease of installation and operational reliability.
The unit has an algorithm-controlled filling procedure, whereby the filling valve opens automatically to allow water to be degassed in the vessel and transferred into the system via the pump. Pall rings in the Flamcomat main vessel ensure the effective degassing of the water held at atmospheric pressure.
The system is filled to the desired operational pressure; the pump can interrupt the filling procedure automatically in order to guarantee that the vessel is filled to the required level.
At the end of the filling procedure, as soon as the correct system pressure is reached, the unit sends you a message (‘system filling procedure complete’).
Automatic temperature monitoring
When the system temperature rises above 110°C, there is a danger of overheating as a consequence of steam formation or overheated water. The Flamcomat G4 is Flamco’s first expansion unit to automatically switch off above the temperature limit and to supply a potential free signal that can be used to interrupt the central heating installation. The system thus naturally complies with directives EN12952 and EN12953.
In order to be able to use the 110°C mode, you will need atemperature limiter and a minimum pressure limiter. These are available as a set (Art. no. 17504).
Dynamic regulation (balancing)
If you have a unit with double pumps and valves (Flamcomat G4 D), you can make use of balancing. The function ensures that the runtime of the components is automatically and evenly distributed. By loading them optimally, you prevent them from failing due to periods of inactivity or performing worse than expected. Double pump versions are primarily used when extra capacity or redundancy is needed.
Other advantages of the Flamcomat G4
- Thanks to the hydraulic design and the connection, the vessel can be placed anywhere around the Flamcomat G4
- The Flamcomat G4 has supports to protect components and to enable the unit to be transported easily to hard-to-reach places
- The second pump of a double pump design can be placed on either side of the Flamcomat G4
- The Flamcomat G4 has an approx. 50% smaller installation footprint
- Freely programmable controller
- Includes real time clock.
