DOMOFERM supplied more than 39 steel frames and 11 steel doors
The existing school location on the Längenfeldgasse site was expanded to include a modern all-day elementary school. The addition resulted in 17 classrooms for elementary school students. In addition, were built 21 modern classes for the vocational school and 2 additional rooms that can be used variably. There are 40 new, state-of-the-art rooms that make learning an experience.
Common sports, creative and leisure areas
A modern sports area with gym and gymnastics hall as well as creative areas were created and are open to all students. There is a large green open space on the roof of the elementary school. A staircase leads from the 2nd floor to the ground-level garden. A highlight for the children are two outdoor slides, which they can also use to get into the garden.
The very urban extension building is impressive
The facade is made of corrugated iron with a base of blue wind paper. It changes its appearance with the passing weather conditions.
With its highly abstract and ambiguous appearance, the school stands out and heralds a new approach to school design.
