The pipe is specially designed for underfloor heating, has excellent technical features
To meet installers needs, COMAP is launching BioPERT pipe, a PERT pipe with an oxygen barrier (EVOH).
The presence of air is one of the major factors in the development of impurities in the systems. Air encourages the growth of algae or other harmful substances. This can lead to accelerated clogging of the system.
This phenomenon can be prevented by the oxygen barrier (EVOH), which prevents oxidation and the development of sludge in the pipes.
The new COMAP BioPERT 5 layers pipe
The oxygen protection is located in the core of the pipe, between the PERT and PE layers. EVOH layer is completely protected which considerably increases the longevity of the network.
BioPERT pipe, a concentrate of benefits
COMAP BioPERT pipe is suitable for all heating systems, especially low-temperature heating systems such as underfloor heating installations.
It offers many advantages:
- Exceptional temperature resistance due to the properties of PERT
PERT is particularly resistant over time to temperature variations within the network, such as can occur in a heating system. - Anti-corrosion
PERT is a material naturally insensitive to corrosion. - Resistance
The inner and outer layers are not subject to wear, even at high temperatures or high flow rates. - Easy to install
PERT is a flexible and very workable material.
COMAP BioPert 5-layer PERT pipes are suitable for all heating installations. Its oxygen barrier, combined with the flexibility of PERT, makes it ideal for underfloor heating and cooling systems. They can be used for new installations as well as for refurbishment work, both concealed and exposed.
The outer layer fully protects the oxygen barrier.
Better corrosion resistance
The 5-layers BioPERT pipe offers improved resistance to corrosion and to external aggressions thanks to the outer layer that protect the oxygen barrier.
